Sylomer® is a polyurethane material from the elastomer group, developed for effective vibration isolation. Sylomer® mats are used in buildings and rooms subject to high vibration loads, as well as on railroad tracks. It is one of the best vibration isolation materials in the world.
Getzner® offers 9 types of Sylomer®, plus the Sylomer® FR series, with enhanced fire resistance. In addition, the manufacturer can modify the technology to obtain a plastic with parameters tailored to the specific application.
Sylomer® will prove its worth wherever vibrations (acoustic and mechanical) may adversely affect the structure of a building or the comfort of its users. It is used, among others, at railroad and bus stations, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, libraries, schools and all types of public buildings.
It is used in many specialized applications, such as railroad sleeper supports, ship deck insulation and mass-spring systems. However, it is also used for more typical vibration isolation, such as structural wall insulation, machine foundations and floor soundproofing.
