If ground vibration studies were not performed at the design stage and a building has already been constructed on an unfavorable site, the situation may seem irreversible and hopeless. However, at Baukustik we will find a solution for this too!
Even after the building has been put into use, it is possible to isolate its foundations from vibrations to a large extent by using vertical insulation. The best results will be achieved with Getzner® vibration isolation mats - Sylodyn®, Sylomer® or dedicated Ecomer® Side Mat.
Installation involves placing the product on the sides of the foundation walls, on the ground side. This is an effective method of reducing the impact of vibrations on the building, although unfortunately it will not prevent the transmission of vibrations to the foundation through the ground from below.
For this reason, we always suggest approaching Baukustik while still at the design stage. However, if it's too late, by using our mats, you are guaranteed the highest quality and durability even after they are built into the ground.
